In the last two weeks of December, Theuma successfully moved to Nijkerk. After being located in Bunschoten for 63 years, Theuma moved into a new building on business area ‘Watergoor’ in Nijkerk. The new building is located near the highway A28 and has a surface of 12.000 m2. (more…)

Theuma chooses for green electricity

In the next decades, controlling and decreasing carbon dioxide emissions is one of the biggest challenges. Theuma doesn’t avoid this challenge.
Theuma has a sustainable investment policy, to minimize the impact on the environment through her activities. An important part of this policy is the responsible use of energy. Constant observation, evaluation and optimization of our production processes have a positive impact on the efficient use of energy. The main target is to reduce the total energy consumption.
Green electricity:
- reduces carbon dioxide emissions and other harmful emissions
- decelerate the increase of the greenhouse effect
- does not cause nuclear waste
- is inexhaustible and will be available for next generations
- reduces our dependence of suppliers of fossil fuel
Theuma invests in new wood incinerator and wood dust silo
Friday 24 September 2010Theuma recently inaugurated an ultra-modern wood incinerator installation in combination with a wood dust silo (850 m3). The installation meets the highest environment requirements to European standards. It generates enough energy to run the presses and heat the factory during winter time.
