Theuma is to supply 12,000 interior doors to King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The doors will be manufactured over the next two months and will be shipped to the major project in the Middle East.
The financial district, designed by Henning Larsen Architects and constructed by Rayadah Investment Company, covers a surface area of 1.6 million m2. Among other things, financial institutions, residential and recreational areas, shops, restaurants, hotels, conference centres and sports facilities will be constructed.
“The doors for this project were specifically developed as per applicable laws and regulations and the wishes of the customer,” said Bart Wauters, CEO of Theuma. “The doors have a unique door thickness and have high-quality edgings on four sides. Since there are no standard structures and operations, we are adjusting our machines accordingly. We are also strictly adhering to the schedule to ensure that the right quantity of doors are supplied at the right location at the right time.”
